How many people are on your team?
We have five full-time employees, three almost fully dedicated contractors, and fifteen additional people with whom we regularly collaborate.
How are you different from other experience & design companies?
We bridge the gap between Usability & Marketing Research. The Motivate Design team consists of researchers and designers with backgrounds in marketing, design, management, and human factors who take a unique approach by thinking innovatively about how research should be performed in the industry.
What type of projects do you typically work on?

Definitely! We welcome any project suggestion and enjoy having variety in our work.
What is the relationship between Motivate Design and UX Hires?
Two companies, one mind. We wanted to create a company that takes a different approach to recruiting by focusing specifically on user experience positions.
Do you do eye tracking / heat mapping?
Yes. For one of the largest banks in the US and a leading financial services firm, we conducted eye-tracking studies on consumer-facing websites to understand how they read charts, the best placement of graphics, etc.
Do you recruit for both usability testing and for online user surveys?
Yes. We utilize third-party recruiting partners for in-person and remote sessions. Recently, one of our projects even involved recruitment via Facebook to get fresh respondents who are passionate about brands.
Do you perform benchmark testing, contextual inquiries and field studies?
Yes. For a global financial services firm, we observed traders as they interacted with research and execution software to assess current usability issues and opportunities. Benchmark Testing was conducted in the US, contextual inquiry and field studies in London.
Do you provide remote observation as well as lab observation on-site?
We maintain strong relationships with FocusVision, Active Group, and WebEx for remote viewing and with labs across the US for on-site observation. In August, we conducted mini-group interviews for a multi-billion dollar global beverage corporation across four continents:

We offer both project-based plans and monthly retainers with a fixed rate each month.
